OIT will be enabling Modern Authentication for Office 365. This will improve the security of account access for email clients supporting Modern Authentication by making use of Shibboleth and multifactor authentication (MFA). Users may be prompted to re-authenticate one time from their Outlook and Apple Mail clients, as well as mobile clients (e.g. iOS Mail and Outlook for iOS or Android). The change will not impact those using Outlook Web Access.
